Brief: Design an atypical new build version of this dual branded hotel pairing with a large meeting and conference center and a themed outdoor terrace just 3 miles from AT&T Stadium where the Dallas Cowboys play. The hotel will cater to the stadium clientele in both group and individual business with its added amenities spaces more similar in program to a full-service hotel.
Concept:The desire of both the Owners and the Studio HBA design team was to create project which bridged past to present and reflected an Urban West design aesthetic reflective of the modern Texas of today.
Design: The hotel is a distinctly modern take on the western design aesthetic with the use of rusticated natural materials applied to contemporary forms resulting in a relaxed, casual hotel environment with hints of an urban industrial influence throughout. Expressed detailing celebrates the joinery of materials and gives a human scale and the notion of the “handmade” in areas where guests can pause and take in the overall mood of the hotel.
The hotel boasts over 10,000 square feet of meeting space, a themed outdoor terrace and pool, and a full outdoor amphitheater that has already been booked by Budweiser for tailgate events associated with Cowboys football games when the project is completed.
